With Paul Fiala, USPTA Professional 1

After School Spring 2012 Clinic Schedule

Junior Tennis Clinics Intermediate & Advanced

4:00 to 5:30 p.m.  Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays

The focus of these clinics is to prepare players for high school tennis - even if they're not going into high school YET.  It's ok, the skills players need in order to succeed in high school tennis are the same each year.  J    Players will be highly encouraged to play a minimum of 2 matches each week in addition to the clinics in preparation for their respective seasons.

Sign ups will be taken the week before each new month's clinics begin.  Multiply the number of clinics you are signing up for by $20 and that amount is due at the beginning of the month.  Some months have 5 visits on a particular day of the week so the cost per month can range from $80 to $100.

Partial month applicants will be enrolled ONLY if the clinic has not filled.   Cost per clinic is $25 for drop in attendees.

To Sign Up, email me at paulfiala@sbcglobal.net, or phone me at 459-4079!

Junior Tennis Clinics - Stroke Fundamentals & Tactics

3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays - This is currently an intermediate level clinic

This camp is designed for all players who have some experience in tennis but need to master sound fundamentals of strokes and footwork.  I will focus each clinic on building each players fundamental base for every stroke and all footwork patterns, and also to have a lot of fun through playing singles and doubles games and learning solid tactical patterns that will be necessary to succeed in high school tennis.

(even if it's a couple years down the pike)

Sign ups will be taken in advance.  Partial week applicants will be enrolled ONLY if the camp has not filled the day prior to the camp.  Cost per clinic is $15 - paid at the beginning of each month for the number of clinics you are signing up for that month.

To Sign Up, email me at paulfiala@sbcglobal.net,

Private Lessons - Offered Tuesday thru Saturday

Private Lessons are a great way to focus in and improve every aspect of your game.

Here at The Home Court, I used a variety of teaching techniques to enhance the lesson experience and to help you get the most out of your focused Private Lesson time.

Here is what I do in the private lesson sessions:

*Comparative Stroke Analysis

*Slow-motion Video Stroke Analysis

*Lesson Reviews (Logs) E-mailed to Every Student & Parents of Juniors

  *Comparative Stroke Analysis

  • Comparative stroke analysis using photos of you and professionals to illustrate areas where mechanical improvement can be made.  Below is an example of a student and "pro" comparison photo shot and the accompanying instructional analysis below the pictures.

"Note your open racket face, and the closed face in the second photo.  Note the need for more hip turn and loading of the lower body."

*Slow Motion Video Analysis On Court

The majority of tennis students learn faster "visually" rather than verbally.  That is why at the Home Court, I use video stroke analysis regularly so that you get visual feedback on each of the techniques that you're working on improving.  This will allow you to go out and immediately integrate the proper techniques into your mechanics.  I also have an extensive library of professional player pictures that we will use to illustrate what adjustments we're looking to make.

*Lesson Reviews (Logs) E-mailed to Every Student

After each lesson, I will write a lesson review detailing what we worked on and the things you should practice in the interim between lessons.  This is your Personal Lesson Log.   I will often times post the pictures we took in your session right to your lesson review - and you will receive that review right into your e-mail.

Each player I teach receives a "Lesson Log" that will be e-mailed to you after every lesson detailing what was covered in the lesson, what & how to work on the improvements that were taught, plus any other positive tips that you can use in your next match or training session.

Private and group lessons are given 5 days a week, Monday through Saturday. Private & Group lesson rates are $60 per hour.

For more information, or to schedule /inquire about private or group lessons

please call 459-4079, or e-mail to paulfiala@sbcglobal.net.
